Motorcycle tourers looking for challenging offbeat routes love their bike tours, especially the ones that cover the Northeast states. They also cater to the adventure segment with their SUV tours. All their tours are created with a vision to deliver comfort, safety, and the best possible travel experience for any kind of client. Families with kids, coupleswomen only travelers; even senior citizens can travel the country in a travel style that suits them. Moto Overlanders is equipped to handle various customer segments as their flexible itineraries are designed to include customer preferences.

The idea for Moto Overlanders was conceived during a personal tour they were conducting for motorcycle tourers from the US in 2018. The visitors didn’t seem to know much about India except for the Delhi region, Rajasthan, Agra, Goa, and Kerala. Their lack of knowledge about the rest of the country led to the formation of Moto Overlanders that aims to promote tourism in offbeat destinations like the North-Eastern states of India. Through their specially crafted motorcycle tours and SUV tours, the Moto Overlanders team aims to take you to offbeat places, to experience the local culture and cuisine so that you go back with tons of happy memories.

Based out of Bangalore, Moto Overlanders is a team of four people and growing steadily. Anil and Chaitra are a traveling couple who have been riding across the Indian sub-continent for the last 15 years. Their core expertise lies in their network with accommodation partners, vehicle vendors, and in crafting impeccable itineraries that are highly immersive in nature. They both prefer riding to driving and have covered destinations like Ladakh, Lahaul & Spiti, Sikkim, Sri Lanka, and Thailand on their bikes!

2020 hasn’t been a good year for travel and everyone is waiting for 2021 to see how the travel and tourism industry bounces back from the after-effects of the pandemic. But even in these tough times, good things have emerged. And one of them is a niche travel and touring startup, Moto Overlanders.

Archana and Vidur are famous couple travel bloggers who run Travelmynation. Since 2015, they have built a big following for themselves through their blog and Instagram account and partnered with the top travel brands across the world including Thomas Cook, Lonely Planet, Nissan, Volvo, Indonesia Tourism, J&K Tourism, Goa Tourism, Malindo Airlines, etc. In 2018, they completed a 14,000 km, 6-month long driving tour of the Northern Himalayas which included destinations like Lahaul & Spiti, Kashmir, and Ladakh. They also did a 30-day riding tour in Nepal in 2019!

The team has more than 5 decades of travel experience between them and are highly knowledgeable about the terrains, weather, cultural experiences, languages, and cuisines of the places they offer tours for. All tours have been personally experienced by the Moto Overlanders team to bring you the best accommodations, food, itineraries, and routes. After all, who is better equipped to deliver perfectly executed travel experiences than travelers themselves!

“Our tours will not be the typical point A to point B packages. Experiencing the essence of the place, the culture and tradition are the key tenets of memorable travel experience and that is what we intend to deliver.”, Vidur Pandit, co-founder of Moto Overlanders.

The company has launched its website and the tours are scheduled to start from January 2021. All safety precautions like wearing masks during the tour, daily temperature checks, daily oximeter checks, hotel sanitization, and social distancing will be in place to ensure adherence to COVID safety norms. Along with this, for group tours, the maximum size will be around 10-12 travelers only.

“Infusing money into the local economy through domestic travel is the need of the hour. We also need to divert traffic from over-crowded tourist spots into places that are tourism-ready and need more people to come in.”, Chaitra, co-founder Moto Overlanders.

The pandemic will soon end and when the travel industry gets back to normal, Moto Overlanders wants to lead the resurgence from the front.
