A young author who is on a mission to inspire the readers to make a move. Stuti Changle quit her first job in 2016 and have been working on her dream since then. She firmly believes that each one of us, no matter where we come from, has that one idea that holds the potential to touch a million lives.

What inspired you to write this book?

I wanted to come up with an emotional yet powerful story that can touch people’s lives meaningfully. While my first book was a lot more inspired by my own story when I set out to become a writer, my new book ‘You Only Live Once?’ is mostly a reflection of my imagination. I was once haunted by this question for days and days, that can your biggest weakness be turned into your greatest strength? I feel that the answer is yes! I wanted to convey this to my readers with a gripping narrative.

What did you learn when writing the book?

The biggest lesson I have learned while writing this book is that one needs to be very empathetic to be able to write about characters you’ve never met in real life. 

What was your hardest scene to write?

I always struggle while penning down the end of my story. I want the endings to be practical, but my readers are all expectant of happy endings. It’s almost impossible to convince myself for taking the either side at times. 

There’s no set formula for a book when it comes to marketing. I have been trying to figure it out for a very long time. I believe that one’s goal must be to reach at least 3000 readers in the first go. If the book resonates with the audience, the word of mouth follows, and no force can stop it from becoming a bestseller. 

Your advice to youngsters who are planning to write a book?

The hustle is real. You’ll have to work very hard. I have been campaigning on my own for three years. I travelled to every corner of India, built a social media presence, packed and dispatched books to customers, spent sleepless nights in a row, all on my own. There is no shortcut. If you’re hands-on and willing to put effort every single day only then jump into the entrepreneurial waters. You will need repeated tonics of self-motivation too. It is a very lonely and demanding journey. But if your ultimate dream is to be a voice to reckon with, jump into the entrepreneurial waters, you’ll surely make your own path while swimming to the shore.
